A New Sunday Tradition
Our favourite recipes shared with you
Welcome to the very first post in a brand new Manor Made Cornwall blog series ✨
Every Sunday, we’ll be sharing one of our much‑loved recipes from the Manor Made kitchen – the bakes you ask for, come back for, and tell your friends about and the ones we cook at home for our family too.
This series is about slowing down, baking with intention, and celebrating the simple joy of homemade food. Whether you’re baking along at home or just enjoying the read with a coffee in hand, we hope these Sunday recipes become something you look forward to.
And where better to start than with our most popular cake of all time.
Manor Made Pineapple Fruitcake
If you’ve ever visited us, chances are you’ve spotted this cake on the counter – golden, generous, and quietly confident. It’s the one people ask for by name. The one that sells out. The one we’re always told tastes even better the next day. The one I often have for breakfast when working!
This pineapple fruitcake is rich without being heavy, gently packed with fruit, and beautifully moist thanks to pineapple folded through the batter. It’s the kind of cake that works just as well with a cup of tea on a blustery beach day as it does dressed up with a little cream for pudding.
It’s simple, comforting, and endlessly reliable – everything we love about baking.
A Little Baking Note
Like most fruitcakes, this one only improves with time. Wrapped well, it will keep beautifully for several days – if it lasts that long. We love it sliced thick, slightly warm, with butter (trust us).
See You Next Sunday
This blog series is our way of opening the Manor Made kitchen door and inviting you in. Next Sunday, we’ll be back with another recipe we love – something seasonal, comforting, and made to be shared.
If you bake this pineapple fruitcake, we’d love to see it. Tag us on Instagram or let us know how it went next time you visit.
Here’s to slow Sundays, good cake, and recipes worth keeping 🤍
