Made Beach Cafe, Carlyon Bay

Our blue and white striped cafe sits on the sand at Crinnis Beach, Carlyon Bay, near St Austell. Come for a proper coffee after a beach walk, a cream tea in the sunshine, or soup and a loaded hot chocolate after a winter swim.

Open every day, all year

9.30am to 4.00pm, seven days a week. Our hours can change in bad weather, so check Instagram or Facebook before a long drive.

What's on the counter

Everything is baked by our own team: award-winning scones and cream teas (jam first), sausage rolls, cakes and bakes, soups, bagels and toasties. Our coffee is roasted locally by [Surface Coffee: confirm name] and we make our own syrups. On Saturdays all winter, it's Bun Day: warm cinnamon brioche buns, fresh from the oven.

Dogs very welcome

Bring them. There are treats behind the counter and a long sandy beach to run on.

Getting here and parking

Head for the car park above Carlyon Bay beach [free / £X a day]. Walk down the steps, turn left on the beach and look for the blue and white stripes. If you can't manage the steps, ask security about parking at beach level. There are toilets on the beach, close to the cafe.

Can I sit inside? We have bistro tables with blankets, and covered seating a short walkaway.

Do you take cards? Yes, we are card only
