Autumn at the Beach: Warming Drinks, Cosy Bakes & Sea Air
There’s something a little bit magical about the beach in autumn. The crowds have gone, the sea takes on that silvery calm, and the air carries that mix of salt and woodsmoke that makes you want to wrap your hands around a hot drink and just… breathe.
At Manor Made Beach Café, we’re staying open all through the autumn months — because we love this time of year too much not to share it with you. You’ll still find us down at Carlyon Bay, open daily 9.30–4pm, serving up warming drinks, homemade bakes and our favourite seasonal specials.
Autumn Bakes You’ll Fall For
Our ovens have turned their attention to the cosier side of life — maple and pecan loaf, apple crumble loaf, and gooey s’mores cookies that taste like a hug in dessert form.
We’ve been experimenting in the kitchen (as always), and it’s safe to say our hot chocolate season has officially arrived. Think thick, loaded, and unapologetically indulgent — the kind of drink that turns a blustery walk into something worth celebrating.
Why We Stay Open
People often ask us why we keep the beach café open through the colder months. The truth? Some of our favourite days happen when the weather can’t quite make up its mind. There’s a calmness to the sea, a slower pace to the day — and sharing that with you is what keeps us baking.
So, grab your coat, bring the dog, and take that walk along the beach. We’ll have the kettle on and something delicious waiting for you when you get back.
Open daily 9.30–4pm — every day the weather allows.
Come for the coffee. Stay for the cake. Leave with sand in your shoes and warmth in your soul.
